Notes on the composition

This piece came to me on Christmas morning 2016 as we were relaxing after opening presents. My children were happily playing with their new toys and my youngest daughter wanted to go outside to ride her bike. While sitting on the porch Majesty flowed into my fingers and guitar.

The title reflects both the beauty of the moment and the recognition of grace in our lives. I am sublimely grateful for moments like these and hopeful that this piece of music conveys that.

Majesty is written in E Major and is a good piece for position work and using slurs. Incidentally, measures 16-18 are the original seed and inspiration for this piece while sitting on the porch strumming.

I hope you enjoy Majesty!
